Slab Down + Base Frame!

Master Bedroom (left) and front door (middle), garage on the cutoff (right)
Some real progress has happened now, with the slab down and a basic frame has been erected on the slab very shortly after it was poured.

It is great that we can now visualize and see the physical shape of the house form. The step-down for the garage doesn't look to high, which is good. It is however a step step-down for the alfresco, but that will be tiled and raised a bit in the future.

We are now starting to look and visualize a bit more what we plan to do with the driveway (has to be done post build, but before we move in). We are hoping to have a wide driveway, that curves to the porch. Time and other constraints will tell how feasible this is.

Pre Slab

Following the delays of SE water, work had finally commenced on our house. A plumber had been in to place the piping in place and the foam/boards for the slab to set in
to had been put in place.

We hope that things can move forward at a fast pace - as it's a tight schedule to hopefully get in before the Christmas shutdown.
